Through February (the latest data available), GSP expiration cost American companies $100 million. We’re nearly in May, meaning that the real cost of expiration to date is likely double that amount.
Yet what people really want to know is how that affects companies, in particular small businesses. Since no one currently has an answer – a problem when trying to convince Congress to renew GSP – we’re asking the following questions:
1. How much in new tariffs has your business paid in 2011 because of GSP expiration?
2. What percentage of your business comes from products imported under GSP?
You can participate in the poll by filling out the form below. Ideally, you’d answer both – but you must answer at least one – of the above questions, plus select your your employee range. All data will remain confidential unless you otherwise indicate it the “additional comments” field. Don’t hesitate to contact us with questions.
In advance of receiving any results, we’d like to say: Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for participating!
