The Coalition for GSP is helping lead two days of meetings in Washington, DC on July 22-23, 2025. The meetings will provide an opportunity both to urge GSP renewal and educate Members of Congress on the severe, negative impact of new tariffs imposed in this year (including “reciprocal” tariffs affecting all GSP-qualifying products).
Given the dramatic increase in tariffs themselves — and the attention they’re receiving from the general public and the media — things will be a little different than past GSP lobby days. We are in a unique moment when tariff impacts are a kitchen table issue, and any potential backlash to tariffs (overall) can create an opportunity to renew GSP. We should not squander the opportunity. As such:
- Tuesday, July 22, will be open to both GSP and non-GSP importers to bolster the argument that tariffs are doing irreparable harm, particularly to U.S. small businesses
- Wednesday, July 23, will focus on GSP renewal and be similar to past days
Businesses are encouraged to attend both days if possible. As always, attendees need not be a GSP Coalition member and there are no fees to attend.
Please register below ASAP if you can join us in Washington, DC for one or both days. Early registrations help us build teams and optimize meeting requests based on constituent attendees. (Once submitted, you should see a “Thank you” note directly below and receive a confirmation email.)
