On Wednesday, September 18, the Coalition for GSP will hold a lobby day urging Congress to renew GSP and refund the $4 billion in extra tariffs paid by American businesses like yours. We look to build upon several lobby days over the past two years (here, here) that helped raise awareness of GSP expiration impacts.

Given the uncertainty of how the 2024 elections will affect policy options in 2025 and beyond, it’s crtiical that as many GSP users as possible attend and stress the urgency for Congress to renew GSP this year. There has been considerable momentum since our spring lobby day: the House Ways & Means Committee approved the GSP Reform Act in April, the Senate Finance Committee held a June hearing on renewing GSP and other preference programs, and 300+ organizations sent a Coalition-led letter urging renewal.

The Lobby Day is open to all companies and associations supporting GSP renewal. You need not be a GSP Coalition member and there are no fees to attend.

Please register below ASAP if you can join us in Washington, DC on September 18. Early registrations help us build teams and optimize meeting requests based on constituent attendees. (Once submitted, you should see a “Thank you” note directly below and receive a confirmation email.)
