It is impacting or small business ,duty cost has doubled, cant not afford and can not make up so have to cut employee hours .

I HAVE OBSERVED THAT SOME OF THE COMPETITORS STARTED MIS DECLARING THE CATEGORY AND NOT PAYING GST. THEY ARE SELLING THE PRODUCT AT A RATE WHICH IS ONLY POSSIBLE IF GST NOT PAID. THERE IS NO DEPARTMENT TO CHECK THE CATEGORY AND ACTUAL PRODUCT YET. THIS IS THE LACK IN THE SYSTME.

Small business can not afford this loss as this was unexpected,and not built in to cost of product.
Its just not fair for govt. Not to notify in advance to importers.

Hi,
We supply electricity meter assemblies to a Multinational company; close to 1.3 Million per year. This customer is losing close to $1M due to the impact of GSP and I am sure they’ll lose to their competitors or their profits due to GSP expiration . It is to the interest of the US to get GSP renewed and companies like us will benefit too by supplying more and offering more discounts due to volume.

Its been over 6 month my funds had not been release any body know how long it will take congress to make their mind

We currently can not increase sales on the items that are being effected by the gsp tariff rates- if this continues I will have to lay-off employees or raise prices –

Due to other competitors who under cut and think they will get reimbursed will not raise prices- so most likely will have to cut employee to keep cost savings in line

Also I use temp services for employees which also may take a hit
