Kirk to Senate Finance: Renew GSP for “Longest Period Possible”

Testifying before the Senate Finance Committee this morning, U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk once again called on the Congress to renew the GSP program. As part of his opening remarks, Kirk said that GSP “merits renewal for the longest period possible” (paraphrased).  Kirk gave similarly testimony before the House Ways and Means Committee last month.
